Asia Tech Wire (Aug 8) -- Tesla has canceled plans to set up a factory in Southeast Asia, according to Nation Thailand.
Tesla has made a strategic decision to halt plans to build a manufacturing plant in Thailand and instead focus on expanding its charging network in the country, a report said.
Citing sources, the report said Tesla will not continue the process of opening factories in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and other countries at this time, in addition to China, the U.S. and Germany.
