Huawei signs deal with Saudi AI regulator

Asia Tech Wire (Sep 12) -- Chinese tech giant Huawei has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Data & Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) to launch a joint program to develop ICT and AI talent.

SDAIA official Ahmed Awad Al-Ghamdi and Huawei's vice president Ziad Al-Rashid signed the MoU at Saudi Arabia's global AI summit, known as GAIN.

The MoU aims to collaborate on national capacity building through training and qualifying Saudi AI experts and technologists.

In addition, the two sides will work together to promote AI technology to the community through AI publications, social media platform promotions and events.
