Asia Tech Wire (Aug 1) -- Facebook parent Meta Platforms Inc. on Wednesday reported financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2024 .

According to that latest earnings results, Meta realized revenue of $39.07 billion for the quarter, up 22% year-over-year.

As of June 30, 2024, Meta had 70,799 employees, a decrease of 1% year-over-year.

Meta expects total revenue for the third quarter of 2024 to be between $38.5 billion and $41 billion.

The company also expects its full-year capital expenditures to be between $37 billion and $40 billion, an update from the previous $35 billion to $40 billion.
