Asia Tech Wire (Aug 2) -- Amazon announced its financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2024 on Thursday.

Its latest financial results showed that Amazon's net sales for the second quarter increased 10% year-over-year to $148 billion, compared to analysts' expectations of $148.78 billion.

Specifically, sales at Amazon's cloud computing unit rose 19% year-over-year to $26.3 billion.

The company expects third-quarter net sales to be in the range of $154 billion to $158.5 billion, up 8% to 11% year-over-year.
