Asia Tech Wire (Aug 15) -- Bridgewater Associates sold nearly 75% of its Apple position in the second quarter of 2024 and increased its Amazon holding by a large amount.
Bridgewater Associates reduced its holdings in Nvidia by 489,800 shares and Google by 828,600 shares in the second quarter, according to a 13F filing on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the fund increased its holdings of Amazon by 1,597,700 shares and Microsoft by 510,800 shares, or 152.47% and 88.14%, respectively.
In addition, Bridgewater sold nearly 75% of its Apple position to 469,000 shares.
The total market value of Bridgewater's positions in U.S. stocks was $19.2 billion as of June 30, 2024, a decrease of $600 million from the previous year.
