Asia Tech Wire (Aug 19) -- Shares of California-based entertainment technology company Xperi were up more than 12% at $8.47 during pre-market trading.
Earlier, Xperi announced it had agreed to sell its subsidiary Perceive to Amazon for $80 million.
Perceive specializes in edge inference hardware and software technologies.
Xperi said in the statement that it expects the deal to close by the end of this year.
