Asia Tech Wire (Aug 8) -- TikTok currently has more than 40,000 moderators around the world managing content in more than 70 languages in order to ensure that the platform is secure, according to SoyaCincau.

These content moderators are dispersed across different markets, with specific teams that understand the local and legal contexts of different countries.

Citing TikTok's transparency report, SoyaCincau said that the social media company has a sizeable distribution of Asian languages in their team.

In a recent post, SoyaCincau said every upload goes through TikTok's automated moderation technology.

In some cases, if the level of violation is unclear, the automated moderation system passes the content to a human moderator for a second review.
