Asia Tech Wire (June 24) -- Chinese battery giant CATL said it expects to realize small-volume production of all-solid-state batteries by 2027.

The company made the remarks on Friday while hosting institutions such as Goldman Sachs, Temasek and Foresight Fund for research.

CATL said at the time that the company's all-solid-state battery research and development program is currently at a level of 4 if using technology and manufacturing maturity as an evaluation system (on a scale of 1-9).

It added that the company aims to reach a level of 7-8 by 2027, which is due to lead to small-volume production of all-solid-state batteries.
