Asia Tech Wire (Sep 2) -- Chinese battery giant CATL plans to deploy 10,000 battery swapping stations.

At the 2024 World Power Battery Conference on Sunday, CATL's Chief Technology Officer Gao Huan revealed, "In terms of planning for battery swapping stations, CATL is aiming for 10,000 units."

"In the short term, the target for 2027 is 3,000 units," he added.

For reference, the total number of battery swapping stations laid out by Chinese EV maker Nio, which focuses on the battery swapping model, was 2,495 as of the end of August this year.
