Asia Tech Wire (Oct 16) -- Chinese battery giant CATL has inaugurated its Hong Kong research center.

The Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) and CATL jointly organized the inauguration of the CATL Hong Kong Research Institute on Tuesday, marking the battery maker's arrival at the Hong Kong Science Park.

CATL plans to hire 200 people for research work in the first phase and support the cultivation of local talents in Hong Kong.
