Asian Tech Press (Nov 09) -- The UK government has announced that it will recognize the World Health Organization's (WHO) Covid-19 Vaccine Emergency Use List, including China's Sinopharm and Sinovac vaccines and India's Covaxin, from November 22. Travelers who have been fully vaccinated with the vaccines on the list do not need to be quarantined when they arrive in the UK.

The UK Department for Transport said on the 8th that the UK is simplifying its entry policy as the number of people vaccinated continues to rise. The UK announced that two vaccines from China, Sinopharm Beijing and Sinovac and India's Covaxin, have been added to the approved list of Covid-19 vaccines for inbound travel to the UK.

The UK Department for Transport also said that individuals who have been fully vaccinated with approved vaccines and have obtained a certificate of vaccination do not need to take a viral test prior to departure and on day 8, nor do they need to self-quarantine on arrival in the UK. Travelers will only be required to undergo lateral flow testing the day after arrival in the UK.
