Asian Tech Press (Nov 11) -- According to Yonhap News Agency, the Covid antiviral pill purchased by the South Korean government will be delivered from February next year.

A Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency spokesperson said that the government has decided to pre-purchase 404,000 servings of the Covid-19 pill and plans to receive it in batches from next February.

In order to minimize the number of severe cases during the phased prevention transition, the South Korean government has been trying to pre-purchase 404,000 copies of the Covid-19 pill. 200,000 servings of the purchase agreement were signed with Merck & Co. (MSD) in September and 70,000 servings with Pfizer in October. The remaining 135,000 servings are under negotiation with MSD, Pfizer and Roche, and are expected to be signed within the month.
