Asia Tech Wire (June 18) -- The U.S. state of Kansas has accused New York-based drugmaker Pfizer Inc. of misleading the public about its COVID-19 vaccine.

Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach announced Monday that he has sued Pfizer, accusing the company of misleading the public about its COVID-19 vaccine, concealing risks and making false claims about its effectiveness.

Kobach said in the complaint that Pfizer allegedly made false statements in violation of local consumer protection laws and that Kansas is seeking unspecified monetary damages.
