LG Electronics Inc., the South Korean multinational electronics company, officially announced to close its mobile business by the end of July this year on its website.

Despite announcing its exit from the smartphone business, LG Electronics said it will offer software updates for its smartphones, according to LG Newsroom, the official news unit of the company.

The company guarantee to update LG’s mobile device operating system (OS) extending for one year. LG will provide three OS updates for the users of LG premium phones released in 2019 and later, while certain 2020 LG models will receive two OS updates.
