Asia Tech Wire (Aug 14) -- Huawei smartphones hit record highs in terms of revenue and average selling price in the second quarter of 2024, according to a report by market research firm TechInsights.
The report shows that global smartphone shipments by Huawei rose 49% year-on-year to 11.6 million units in the second quarter, driven by a recovery in the 5G segment and easing supply chain constraints.
Meanwhile, Huawei smartphones hit record highs in both wholesale average selling price (ASP) and wholesale revenue, thanks to a large share of high-end models such as the Mate and Pura series.
TechInsights noted that China remains Huawei's core market, accounting for 89% of its global smartphone shipments.
