Asia Tech Wire (Sep 13) -- Virgin Australia has decided to convert its order for 12 Boeing 737 Max-10s, which have not yet been certified, to the smaller Max-8 aircraft due to the need to finalize the delivery schedule for the new aircraft, the company said in a statement.
Deliveries of these aircraft are due to begin in the second half of 2025.
However, the Australian carrier retains some firm orders and optional purchase rights for the Max-10.
As of November 2023, Virgin Australia still has outstanding orders for 25 Max-10s.
