Asia Tech Wire (Sep 13) -- The U.S. Association of Professional Flight Attendants (APFA), said in a statement Thursday that 87% of voters accepted a $4.2 billion agreement between the union and American Airlines.
The contract stipulates that flight attendants will receive wage increases of 18% to 20.5% starting Oct. 1, followed by annual raises of up to 3.5%.
Meanwhile, flight attendants' pay levels will increase by 33% to 36% over five years.
The contract also includes a one-time bonus, among other things.
