Asia Tech Wire (Aug 12) -- South Korea's Samsung Display and LG Display will work together to supply screens for Apple's upcoming iPhone 16 series smartphones.
Mass production of display panels for Apple's upcoming iPhone 16 series phones has already begun.
Apple has ordered 80 million panels from Samsung Display and 43 million panels from secondary vendor LG Display.
Given that Apple's shipments of the iPhone 16 are due to be around 90 million units this year, this means that Apple has ordered around 30% more than the number of panels.
