Asia Tech Wire (May 22) -- Chinese automaker BYD launched the all-electric double-decker bus BD11 in London, UK.

The bus, which will be operational in the second half of this year, has a maximum capacity of 90 passengers and a battery capacity of up to 532 kilowatt-hours.

BYD said that the first batch of vehicles are designed for London, and the company will subsequently launch models adapted to the needs of different regions in the UK.

Currently, more than 1,800 BYD e-buses are running on UK roads, covering a total distance of more than 127 million kilometers.
