Asia Tech Wire (Sep 10) -- Elon Musk, the billionaire owner of the popular social media platform X, could face a summons from the UK Parliament over X, according to the Financial Times.

Citing British MP Dawn Butler, the report said that the Science, Innovation and Technology Select Committee wants to invite Musk as a witness.

Butler said the committee must formally examine the use of algorithms to push hateful content on X and other social media platforms and the vetting of that content.
