Asia Tech Wire (Aug 9) -- OpenAI announced Thursday the appointment of Zico Kolter, a professor at Carnegie Mellon University, to its board of directors.

Meanwhile, Kolter will also join the OpenAI board's security committee.

After joining the ChataGPT owner, Kolter's work will focus on AI safety, alignment, and more.
