Asia Tech Wire (July 31) -- Delta Air Lines has hired an attorney to claim damages over a Microsoft-linked global IT outage, according to CNBC.
The U.S. airline hired David Boies, a top Wall Street attorney, to seek damages from U.S. cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike and Microsoft, according to the report.
Two weeks ago, a software update by CrowdStrike caused a historic outage of Microsoft systems, taking many industries offline, particularly in the airline sector.
The U.S. Department of Transportation said last week that it was investigating Delta Air Lines, which suffered widespread flight disruptions and service failures.
