Asia Tech Wire (Aug 5) -- Morgan Stanley said BYD's partnership with Uber unlocks business opportunities to expand overseas corporate customers.

BYD's global strategic partnership with Uber shows the need for similar global partnerships to expand overseas against a backdrop of rising protectionism, Morgan Stanley said.

Expanding its sales operations to corporate customers should allow BYD to reach its overseas sales targets, the investment bank said.

However, Morgan Stanley noted that BYD's sales to corporate customers may have lower profit margins compared to its sales business to individual customers.
