Asia Tech Wire (Aug 2) -- BYD (002594.SZ) announced Thursday that it sold 342,383 new energy vehicles (NEVs) in July 2024, up 30.6% year-on-year from 262,161 units in the same month last year.

Specifically, sales of pure electric passenger cars amounted to 130,000 units, while sales of plug-in hybrid passenger cars amounted to 210,799 units.

From January to July, BYD sold a total of 1,955,000 new energy vehicles, up 28.83% year-on-year.
