BP-Didi joint venture has achieved carbon neutrality in charging business, BP plc said.

British oil and gas company BP PLC (BP: New York) announced on Tuesday, May 19, that its joint venture with Chinese top ride-hailing company Didi Chuxing, BP Xiaoju New Energy Ltd, has achieved carbon neutrality in its charging business, and all customers charging on the BP Xiaoju charging network in China will receive carbon-neutral charging services.

In August 2019, BP announced that it had entered into an agreement with Didi Chuxing to establish a joint venture to build electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in China, aiming to develop a network of EV charging hubs across the country.
