Asian Tech Press (Oct 27) -- British oil giant BP announced Thursday that it is buying $100 million worth of Tesla Superchargers.
Tesla Inc. and BP have reached an agreement to sell $100 million worth of ultra-fast chargers to BP for deployment across the U.S. as part of its own bp pulse network.
According to a statement from BP, this is the first time Tesla has sold Superchargers to another company.
BP will begin installing the chargers next year, and the statement didn't mention the exact number of chargers the company is purchasing, except to say that it will be purchasing 250-kilowatt Tesla ultra-fast chargers.
