Asian Tech Press (Jan 17) -- Tesla battery supplier Contemporary Amperex Technology Co Ltd (CATL) will launch its electric vehicle (EV) changing brand EVOGO this Tuesday.

Official sources from CATL said the company will hold a launch event at 3:30 p.m. local time on Tuesday to unveil its EV changing brand EVOGO.

As revealed by industry insiders, CATL's newly launched battery charging products will be availavle to all car companies in the future, which means that the Chinese EV battery maker has officially entered the power exchange market.

As the news circulated in the network, a picture of CATL charging station were exposed. From the picture, it can be seen that the EV charging station seems to be composed of two "containers", one for battery exchange, and the other to store spare batteries.

The relevant person at CATL said, "This is a test station, not industrially designed, and not the same as the one we released on Tuesday."
