Asia Tech Wire (Aug 20) -- Apple will produce its most expensive iPhone Pro and Pro Max models in India for the first time this year, Bloomberg reported, marking a milestone for both the U.S. company and Indian manufacturing.

Citing people familiar with the matter, the report said that Foxconn, Apple's main partner, will start assembling these new flagship devices within weeks of their global launch this fall.

Foxconn has trained thousands of workers at its plant in southern Tamil Nadu to produce the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max as close to the global debut time as possible.
