Asia Tech Wire (Sep 19) -- X, the social media platform owned by Elon Musk, said Wednesday that the restoration of its service in Brazil was inadvertent and temporary.
Three weeks after Brazil's Supreme Court ordered a block on X, some Brazilian users recently found they could access the platform.
In its update, X allegedly bypassed digital barriers put in place by Brazilian Internet providers by changing the way of routing internet traffic.
Brazil's telecoms regulator, Anatel, confirmed this tactic by X and said it is evaluating how to block the platform again.
In response, X said that the restoration of access in Brazil was "inadvertent and temporary", and that it was the result of the company switching network providers after the country blocked it.
