Asian Tech Press (Nov 03) -- Team Xecuter (TX) is the most famous Nintendo Switch game hacker, having previously released for-profit SX Core, SX Lite and SX Pro crack kits.

These kits are capable of cracking the Switch directly from the hardware. After players buy the crack kit, they only need to install themselves to run the TX homemade system and play almost all of Nintendo's game content in the system, which has caused a significant market impact on Nintendo.

The Nintendo Legal Department has repeatedly launched lawsuits against the hacking team TX and its leader for making and selling crack kits for the Switch console.

According to the latest reports, Gary Bowser, the leader of the TX team, has pleaded guilty to two counts of trafficking in circumvention devices, conspiracy to circumvent technical measures, and trafficking in circumvention devices.
Gary Bowser will pay $4.5 million in restitution to Nintendo, and the prosecution has thus agreed to waive all other charges but could face up to 10 years in prison.
