Asia Tech Wire (Nov 4) -- Chinese smartphone maker OPPO and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) on Monday announced the establishment of the "PolyU-OPPO Joint Innovation Research Centre".
OPPO will invest no less than 30 million yuan ($4.23 million) over the next five years to expand the scale of joint doctoral and postdoctoral training.
The company hopes to promote its technological development and exploration in the direction of imaging algorithms, while further deepening its cooperation with PolyU in the field of AI imaging.
