LG Electronics names new CEO, revamps division to improve customer satisfaction

Asian Tech Press (Nov 26) -- LG has revealed that it has appointed William Cho as the company's new chief executive officer, effective December 1, according to Neowin. In addition to this appointment, Kim Byoung-hoon has been selected as chief technology officer, Jang Ik-hwan has been promoted from senior vice president to executive vice president, and senior vice president Eun Seok-hyun has been selected to lead Vehicle Component Solutions.

LG said the new leadership team plans to pay special attention to customer satisfaction by addressing consumer pain points and adopting customer feedback. It will do so by reorganizing its customer satisfaction management center into a customer value innovation office overseen by a chief strategy officer.

In addition, the customer experience innovation division of LG's home appliance and home entertainment companies will be upgraded to a customer experience innovation division to help improve customer satisfaction.

LG said all appointments will be effective December 1, 2021, and organizational promotions will take effect on the first day of the New Year in 2022.
