Asia Tech Wire (July 5) -- LG Electronics expects its operating profit for the second quarter of 2024 to be 1.19 trillion won ($868 million), up 61.2% year-on-year, according to preliminary verified data released Friday.

LG Electronics reported its sales rose 8.5% to 21.7 trillion won in the quarter.

The South Korean company will later release its final earnings report.

Shares of LG Electronics rose nearly 3% in Seoul early Friday.
