LG CEO William Cho and Meta Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg met at LG Twin Towers in Yeouido, Seoul.

Asia Tech Wire (Feb 28) -- Meta Platforms Inc. CEO Mark Zuckerberg met with LG executives in Seoul on Wednesday to discuss collaboration on extended reality (XR) devices and AI technology.

Zuckerberg, who is visiting South Korea, met with a number of LG executives on Wednesday, including LG Electronics CEO William Cho, parent company LG Corp. chief operating officer Kwon Bong-Seok and Park Hyoung-sei, President of Home Entertainment Company at LG Electronics.

The two sides discussed in this meeting the development of next-generation extended reality (XR) devices, R&D of artificial intelligence technology, and other cooperation items.

After wrapping up his trip to Japan, Zuckerberg arrived in South Korea later Tuesday and was due to meet with South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol.

Zuckerberg is also likely to meet with Samsung executives, including Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong, during his visit to South Korea to discuss options for developing AI semiconductors in conjunction with the XR business.
