Asia Tech Wire (Sep 23) -- India is investigating Netflix's local business practices, including allegations of visa violations and racial discrimination, according to Reuters.
Sunday's report cited an email dated July 20 sent by the Indian government to Nandini Mehta, Netflix's former director of business and legal affairs for India.
Mehta, who left Netflix in 2020, said in a statement that she is filing a lawsuit against Netflix in the U.S. alleging wrongful terminations and racial and gender discrimination by the company.
Netflix, however, denies the allegations.
