Asia Tech Wire (Oct 25) -- Apple plans to hire 400 new employees for its upcoming new stores in Bangalore, Pune, Delhi-NCR and Mumbai in India.
The iPhone maker has listed a large number of job openings on its Indian website, with the aim of filling various vacancies before these retail stores open next year.
The hiring includes both full-time and part-time positions, similar to the company's existing stores in Mumbai and Delhi.
Apple decided to expand its retail presence in India after the success of its two existing stores there.
The two stores generated revenues of around Rs 80 crore in their first year after opening in April last year, with 60% of the sales coming from the smaller Delhi store.
