Asia Tech Wire (May 17) -- Chinese electric car startup Xpeng Inc. (9868.HK) has officially entered the French market.

Xpeng held a launch event for the G9, a luxury all-electric SUV, in Paris on Thursday.

The 2024 Xpeng G9 has a price range of 59,990 to 73,990 euros in France, or about 470,000 to 580,000 yuan, with deliveries scheduled to kick off in July this year.

Xpeng also presented the G6, a mid-size electric SUV, which is set to go on sale in France next month.

By the end of this year, Xpeng will plan to finalize 35 sales outlets in France, and next year it hopes to reach 55.

The company said it aims to gain a 3% market share in the model segment of the French new energy vehicle market by the end of this year.
