Baidu explores again healcare field and launches a healthcare platform after a series of scandals in this field.

Baidu has recently launched "Qingzhu Health”, a one-stop healthcare platform, which integrates the health information, measurement reminders, blood glucose and blood pressure records, health lessons and shopping malls, and many other services.

Baidu, one of the China's tech giant, dabbles in the field of internet healthcare, depending on strong search engine and formidable exposure since 2013. In early 2015, Baidu officially established Baidu Health Business Division to fully operate healthcare business. At that time, Baidu Health gains nearly a half of revenues of Baidu relying on selling listings to bidders.

In 2016, the death of Wei Zexi, who going to hospital in top listing of Baidu web search, stirred up public opinions on internet healthcare. It also led to officials’ investigation of Baidu health business. Then Baidu Health Business Division was cut, and selling listings to bidders is forbidden.

Currently, “Qingzhu Health” has been launched on WeChat’s applet, as well as the “Qingzhu Health Doctor” App in the Apple App Store.
