Asia Tech Wire (July 4) -- Robin Li, Baidu's founder, chairman and chief executive officer, said on Thursday that intelligent agents are the company's most bullish direction for the development of artificial intelligence (AI) applications.

Li made the remarks at the 2024 World Artificial Intelligence Conference taking place in Shanghai this week.

He believes that intelligent agents are the easiest AI application to develop.

"Making a good intelligent agent usually doesn't require coding. Just a clear workflow of the intelligent agent in human language, with a proprietary knowledge base, and this can produce a very valuable intelligent agen," Li explained.

The billionaire entrepreneur expects millions of quantities of intelligent agents to emerge in the future, creating a vast ecosystem of intelligent agents, with search being the biggest entry point for intelligent agent distribution.
