Asia Tech Wire (Aug 23) -- During its Q2 2024 earnings call, Baidu CEO Robin Li said that 18% of search results are already generated by AI, providing users with more accurate and direct answers.
Baidu realized total revenue of 33.9 billion yuan ($4.67 billion) in the second quarter of 2024, roughly flat compared to last year.
And excluding video unit iQIYI, revenue from Baidu Core amounted to 26.7 billion yuan ($3.67 billion), an increase of 1% year-on-year.
Net income attributable to Baidu for the quarter was 5.5 billion yuan ($755 million), with diluted earnings per ADS of 15.01 yuan ($2.07).
During the quarter, Baidu reported revenue from its intelligent cloud business of 5.1 billion yuan, up 14% year-over-year, and continued to be profitable.
