Asian Tech Press (Nov 10) -- Apple supplier Luxshare (002475.SZ) will invest an additional $330 million in Vietnam's northeastern province of Bac Giang to expand production.

The Industrial Park Management Board in Bac Giang province said Thursday that Luxshare Precision Industry Co. Ltd's Vietnam unit will invest an additional $330 million in the province, bringing the total investment to $504 million.

The new production facility is expected to be completed in 12 to 24 months, it said.

China-based Luxshare has continued to invest in Vietnam since it began setting up its first company in the country in 2016, and produces wireless earphones AirPods and smartwatches Watch for Apple.

Luxshare began investing in Bac Giang in 2019, and has one more factory in the province.
