Alibaba Cloud to build new data centers in 5 countries, including Mexico

Asia Tech Wire (May 27) -- Alibaba's (9988.HK) cloud unit will invest in new data centers in five countries, including Mexico.

Alibaba Cloud recently announced that it will invest in new data centers around the world, located in South Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Mexico

The new round of overseas infrastructure will focus on the layout of AI infrastructure, sprinting to a larger global layout.

This is Alibaba Cloud's first entry into the Mexican market, and it will synchronize the construction of local ecological and service capability systems.

Up to now, Alibaba Cloud operates 89 availability zones in 30 geographic regions around the world.

With this new round of investment, the company's global footprint will increase to 31 geographies and 95 availability zones, covering the world's major economically active markets.

Alibaba Cloud promises that it will continue to invest in more overseas infrastructures and strengthen its service capabilities over the next three years.
