Asia Tech Wire (Jan 19) -- YouTube and Spotify have joined Netflix in not planning to develop apps specifically for Apple Inc.'s Vision Pro headset.
YouTube said Thursday that it will not develop a Vision Pro app or allow the YouTube iPad app to run on the device.
And Spotify also said it has no plans to develop an app or make the Spotify iPad app available through the Vision Pro App Store.
The decision by both popular platforms means that Apple Vision Pro users will access YouTube and Spotify through a web browser such as Apple's Safari.
Netflix also said earlier this week that Netflix users can watch content through the Vision Pro web browser and that the company will not develop a dedicated app for the mixed reality device.
