Asia Tech Wire (Aug 23) -- Xiaomi Corp. (1810.HK) on Thursday announced awards of company shares worth about HK$783.5 million ($100 million) to selected employees and suppliers.

The Chinese tech company awarded a total of 41,019,038 award shares to 1,510 selected participants, including group employees and service providers, under the 2023 Share Scheme on Aug. 22, Xiaomi said in a statement.

Xiaomi's Hong Kong-listed shares closed at HK$19.1 per share on Thursday, which makes the total value of the shares awarded about HK$783.5 million.
