Asia Tech Wire (Oct 17) -- Xiaomi Chairman Lei Jun said the company will soon announce its smart driving technology breakthroughs at the 2024 World Intelligent Connected Vehicles Conference (WICV 2024) on Thursday.

Lei said the company is working toward delivering 20,000 Xiaomi SU7 electric cars this month.

In the first three quarters of 2024, cumulative sales of Xiaomi cars exceeded 66,231 units.

He also revealed that Xiaomi's R&D expenses are due to reach 24 billion yuan this year and more than 30 billion yuan next year.
