Asia Tech Wire (Oct 17) -- Stellantis North America is recalling about 21,069 plug-in hybrid (PHEV) SUVs in the U.S. market, the company announced Wednesday.
The company said the brake pedal on these vehicles could accidentally disengage during braking.
The European automaker has identified 15 cases worldwide, including one accident, with no injuries reported.
Stellantis said the recall affects certain 2024-2025 model-year Alfa Romeo Tonale PHEV SUVs and 2024 model-year Dodge Hornet PHEV SUVs.
In addition, those affected include vehicles in Canada (2,299 units), Mexico (145 units ) and certain markets outside North America (20,987 units).
