Asia Tech Wire (Sep 26) -- SpaceX, owned by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, plans to invest $15 billion in Vietnam, the Vietnamese government has said.
Vietnam's top leader To Lam met with SpaceX Senior Vice President Tim Hughes in New York on Wednesday, according to the Vietnamese government's website.
Evaluating Vietnam as a highly promising market for SpaceX's satellite internet development program, Hughes said the company plans to invest $15 billion in Vietnam in the near future.
To Lam said the Vietnamese government is considering SpaceX's investment proposal to ensure efficiency in the process of completing the investment preparation program.
