Asia Tech Wire (Sep 24) -- Facebook parent company Meta Platforms plans to increase production of VR glasses products in Vietnam.

Vietnam's top leader To Lam met with Nick Clegg, President of Global Affairs at Meta, in New York on Monday.

To Lam advised Meta to continue consultations with relevant Vietnamese authorities and partners, especially the Vietnam National Innovation Center (NIC), to promote the implementation of specific cooperation activities in the fields of science and technology, innovation, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

Clegg shared plans to expand production of Metaverse virtual reality glasses products in Vietnam.

He said he plans to visit Vietnam next week and hopes to have the opportunity to introduce the "Meta AI" free platform to Vietnamese users.
