Asia Tech Wire (Oct 23) -- SoftBank Group Corp. and Apollo Global Management Inc. discussed matters related to setting up a giant fund to invest in data centers, chip factories and other artificial intelligence projects, according to Semafor.
Citing people familiar with the matter, Tuesday's report said the two sides had discussed setting up a fund of more than $20 billion.
But the report noted that talks have cooled since this summer and may not come to fruition.
