Asian Tech Press (Dec 03) -- To expand its foldable panel production capacity, Samsung Display, a panel maker owned by Samsung Electronics, plans to add three foldable OLED module production lines at its Vietnam plant by next year, which will increase the company's foldable module production lines from seven to ten.
This will allow the company to expand its foldable panel production capacity from the current 1.4 million per month to 1.5 million per month and then to 2 million per month, according to sources.
Samsung Display, one of the world's largest OLED panel suppliers, dominates the market for small and medium-sized OLED panels, which are used in Apple's iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone X.
